Together We RISE: Rewarding Investments through Smart Education

Hello RISE Impact Enthusiasts,

Unlocking New Impact Opportunities: What’s Ahead for You

As we build our impact investing community platform, we've faced several key challenges. Deciding which educational topics to cover has been a major hurdle—impact investing is broad, and we want to ensure we're providing the most valuable and relevant content. We've also wrestled with how to present this information visually, seeking for a layout that's intuitive and engaging for users.

Beyond content and design, we're focused on fostering meaningful engagement within the community and providing the right tools to keep it active and growing. These challenges are part of our journey, and we're committed to creating a platform that meets your needs and evolves with the impact investing landscape. Keeping you in the loop as we work to create an ecosystem for us as impact investors…

As always, let's share this valuable knowledge of values aligned investing with our loved ones, including our children (it's never too early to start!), friends, and broader community. With that said, let's explore this week’s impactful opportunity.

Debunking Common Myths About Impact Investing: What You Really Need to Know

Myth 1: Impact Investing Means Sacrificing Financial Returns The Truth: Contrary to popular belief, impact investing doesn’t mean giving up returns. In fact, many impact investments, especially in sectors like green energy, have outperformed traditional investments. The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) reports that many investors are achieving competitive, market-rate returns.

Myth 2: Impact Investing is Only for the Wealthy The Truth: While impact investing once catered to high-net-worth individuals, it's now accessible to everyone. Get Access to our Impact Investing Community Platform.

Myth 3: It’s Hard to Measure the Impact of Impact Investments The Truth: Measuring impact has become much easier with the development of frameworks and tools like those from the Impact Management Project and the Global Reporting Initiative. These resources help investors track and report on the outcomes of their investments.

🌟 Award-Winning Maternal Health Company 🌟

I’m excited to share details about a company whose innovation I truly admire. My goal is to highlight the key factors you might consider when deciding whether to invest in such a business. These discussions are intended to help our families develop an investor’s mindset. While I’m not disclosing the company’s name here since it is currently fundraising, please reach out to us if you’re interested in an introduction. The primary focus here is on education.

📍 Why This Company? This innovative women's health company is tackling some of the most significant yet underserved challenges in maternal health today. By combining connected devices with data analytics, they seek to increase access to care, provide personalized feedback to moms, and assist doctors in predicting and managing pregnancy complications. At the heart of their solution is a prenatal wearable that tracks critical health parameters for both maternal and fetal health. Their mission is to address modifiable risk factors, detect abnormalities, and predict adverse events, ensuring every family gets a healthy start.

🚀 Mission: Designing the future of prenatal care with cutting-edge technology, science, and medical expertise.

♻️ Impact Goals: Their first digital biomarker for (preterm) labor detection has been clinically validated, with results presented at prestigious conferences such as the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the World Congress for Maternal-Fetal Neonatal Medicine.

👩‍💼 Women Impact: This company is dedicated to designing remote maternal health solutions that improve the health and well-being of moms and babies.

💡 My Thoughts: The U.S. is currently facing a maternal health crisis, with over 1,200 women dying from pregnancy-related complications each year—two-thirds of which are considered preventable. This crisis is particularly severe among African American women, who are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than their white counterparts. This company is working to reverse these trends by enhancing access to care and providing deeper insights to clinicians through remote patient monitoring and advanced analytics.
