Who’s Leading the Way in Impact Investing—And Why Their Focus Matters to Us

Together We RISE: Rewarding Investments through Smart Education

Hello RISE Impact Enthusiasts,

Unlocking New Impact Opportunities: Version 1 Launches This Week

We're thrilled to announce that Version 1 of our impact investing community platform is now live and ready for you to explore! The platform features free educational content on essential topics like "What is Angel Investing?", "Venture Capital Basics", "Sustainable Agriculture", and the differences between "Public vs. Private Investing". We've presented everything in a simple, easy-to-understand format and every week we will be improving.

One feature we're particularly proud of is our short video series designed to help you explain these concepts to the next generation. As a mother who just sent her son off to college to play baseball and major in finance, I understand firsthand the importance of passing on our values and knowledge to our children. It was bittersweet watching him go, but I'm comforted knowing we've had meaningful conversations about making the world better.

This platform is our way of slowly building out an ecosystem for impact investing, focused on education and community for both accredited and non-accredited investors interested in private impact opportunities.

We're excited to start sharing this community more widely. Our goal is to collectively increase our understanding of impact investing, regardless of accreditation status. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey, and we're thrilled to have you with us.

We'd love to hear your thoughts as we continue to develop this platform. How can we make it even more valuable for you and your family as you explore impact investing? Your feedback will be crucial as we work to create a robust, educational, and community-driven ecosystem for impact investing.

As always, let's share this valuable knowledge of values aligned investing with our loved ones, including our children (it's never too early to start!), friends, and broader community. With that said, let's explore this week’s impactful opportunity.

TEACHING IMPACT INVESTING

Family Impact Investment Discussions

My Notes from IvyFON

This week was two days of IvyFON. IvyFON is a conference for family offices and high-net-worth individuals. It brings together investors, industry experts, and thought leaders to discuss trends and opportunities in private investing.

Here are my some of my key takeaways from IvyFON.

  • Big investors are putting more money into private equity and hard-to-sell investments, hoping for better returns.

  • Talent is crucial in private investing. Evaluating leadership teams is a top priority for successful deals.

  • Family offices are increasingly interested in co-investing alongside private equity funds to access deals and expertise.

  • Independent sponsors are becoming more common in private equity, offering a different approach for business owners.

  • AI in healthcare is a huge opportunity, potentially reaching $300 billion by 2030. It could change how healthcare is delivered.

  • The obesity drug market is booming, possibly becoming as big as top tech companies. It's changing how pharma companies operate.

  • Family offices face challenges in navigating SEC rules while maintaining privacy.

  • Healthcare is moving towards value-based care, focusing on patient outcomes rather than just services provided.

🌟 Debt Validation Fund Opportunity: Investment in Short-Term Accounts Receivable Contracts 🌟

Why This Fund?
Shared by a RISE community member, this fund focuses on helping first responders resolve credit card and other consumer debts through a legal process.

Mission
Through legal avenues, the fund works to help consumers invalidate their debts, removing them from credit reports and absolving the individual of repayment obligations.

Impact Goals

  • A $5 million investment could cover approximately 3,333 contracts, each generating $250 in payments, leading to an estimated $833,333 in monthly revenue.

  • A $5 million investment is expected to generate $20 million in receivables, with an estimated $16 million in collectible debt.

  • The fund operates on a 3-year, quarterly payment schedule, with no prepayment penalties.

Funding Overview

  • Investment Range: $250,000 minimum to $50,000,000 maximum, based on available pools of accounts receivables.

  • Returns: 20% annualized return, with a total projected return of 60% over the investment period.

  • Security: Investments are secured by accounts receivables, typically valued at approximately 30% of the collectible receivables.

Leadership and Purpose
Co-founded by a woman, an advocate for passive income and a successful hedge fund owner, the fund also supports social causes.

Key Questions to Evaluate:

  1. What criteria does the fund use to evaluate potential acquisitions of distressed consumer debt portfolios?

  2. What challenges have similar funds encountered, and how have these been mitigated?

  3. What safeguards are in place in case debt recovery or validation efforts fall short?

  4. How does the fund diversify its portfolio to manage and reduce risk?
