Investing to Generate a Supplemental Cash Flow, Part II
In this week’s issue, we are going to cover the concept of supplemental income, which can allow you to build cash-flowing assets and a monthly income through investing your money.
DON´T JUST WORK FOR YOUR MONEY,
MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU!
When it comes to building your wealth strategy, you have to think outside of the box…
As we discussed last week, the concept of “investing” encompasses a wide range of options for how you choose to spend, and grow your money. At RISE, our goal is to dispel the idea that investing is a difficult task or that it requires overcoming significant barriers of entry.
So, what choices are available to you?
This week, we are continuing to look at different ways you can grow supplemental income through more than just investing in the stock market.
INVESTING OPTIONS FOR
SUPPLEMENTAL CASH FLOW: PART II
Option 1: Real Estate
As we touched on in our previous newsletter investing in real estate can generate income in two primary ways: rental income and through capital appreciation.
Rental income is generated from owning and leasing out your property to tenants who pay rent to you on a monthly basis.
Capital appreciation occurs when the property's value increases over time with the real estate market, allowing you to sell it for a higher price than you paid, making you profit!
Option 2: Private Equity/Venture Capital
Investing through private equity and venture capital is an investment strategy that involves providing money to startups or private companies that have a lot of potential to grow.
Startups are small, newer companies that have innovative ideas and high growth prospects. Venture capital focuses specifically on early-stage companies with innovative ideas or technologies.
Private equity, on the other hand, typically targets older companies that want funding, or capital, for expansion, restructuring, or even acquisitions.
Option 3: Cryptocurrency
Investing in cryptocurrencies is like investing in stocks, where you buy something and hope its value goes up.
Some cryptocurrencies offer 'staking'. This means you can hold a certain amount of a cryptocurrency in a special wallet or platform and keep it locked up for a while.
By doing this, you might have a chance to earn extra money as a reward. It's important to note that investing in cryptocurrencies carries inherent risks due to their volatility.

FINANCE IN THE NEWS
It’s Gonna Be A Long Hot Summer…
Record-breaking temperatures are sweeping across parts of the country this week, and it appears our economy is keeping pace. Kokou Agbo-Bloua, a leading economist at Societe Generale, suggests that central banks have reached "the end of the beginning" in their fight against inflation. But what does this mean for us average Janes?
Experts anticipate a recession by the beginning of 2024. If you're experiencing a sense of deja vu with this prediction, that's because the forecasted recession has merely been "postponed," not canceled. Interestingly, Europe seems resistant to these recessionary forecasts, making it a potentially ideal time to plan that summer vacation.
Is Amazon No Longer In Its Prime?
Prime Day, one of America's most anticipated e-commerce holidays, has rolled around again. However, this year, it's overshadowed by rather nasty lawsuits against its parent company, Amazon.
Presently, Amazon faces a lawsuit from the US Federal Trade Commission, accusing the company of using "manipulative and deceptive user-interface designs to mislead consumers." Allegedly, the tech giant makes it difficult to navigate its website without enrolling in the Prime membership, and even more difficult to cancel this membership once signed up.
Many Americans are no strangers to the intricate dance with Amazon Prime, a fact highlighted by a Bankrate poll conducted in February 2023. The survey revealed a whopping 36% of US adults have more credit card debt than emergency savings. Shop responsibly, folks!
